medi is a leading and cutting-edge manufacturer of medical aids, sports textiles and fashion products that combine precision effectiveness with maximum comfort.
They have a number of Sales Reps in the field. When a customer required a credit line, the Credit Approval process was completely manual – the customer would submit a paper form, medi had to correct errors and key in data into their ERP system. Similarly, the Contract process was also very manual and inefficient.
“frevvo’s Cloud-based solution is visual and easy to use yet has powerful business features and integration with our ERP.
frevvo has a great combination of simplicity and flexibility.”
–Tim Horkey Chief Financial Officer Service Owner
medi came to know about frevvo through a referral and decided to try workflow automation. Using frevvo’s low-code, visual workflow automation solution, they were able to automate their Credit Approval process in a matter of weeks. It’s already been updated with user feedback and integrated with medi’s Infor VISUAL ERP system.
Building on the success of the Credit Approval process, medi has also automated their Contracts process. Instead of emails & faxes, printing & signing, the workflow is now electronic and collects e-signatures along the way. Ultimately, it generates a binding contractual agreement as a PDF with the needed signatures.
The benefits are enormous. Both workflows are faster, error-free and far more efficient. Integration with INFOR ERP has eliminated duplicate data entry.
Granite State Independent Living (GSIL) is a 1000-employee nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote quality of life with independence for people with disabilities and seniors through advocacy, information, education, support and transition services.
As a healthcare organization, GSIL is subject to numerous regulatory requirements. Their New Hire packet had grown to 40+ forms that would take hours to complete. The same information had to be filled in multiple times, time was wasted correcting errors, making copies for filing and finding/auditing the information was tedious.
“PiF Technologies introduced us to frevvo and helped us automate the New Hire packet. The rest is history. The efficiency is just incredible.
frevvo’s modern online system is easy to use and meets our business requirements at a reasonable cost.”
–– Linda Tsantoulis, Vice President of HR
GSIL worked with frevvo’s partner PiF Technologies to digitize the New Hire workflow to use e-forms. Using frevvo’s low-code, visual solution, PiF was able to automate the the process in record time. The documents feed directly into DocStar, their document management system, and index fields are created automatically.
The benefits are enormous since the automated processes are significantly faster and error-free. Filling out the packet used to literally take hours. Now it can be completed in 20-30 minutes. Working with PiF and frevvo, GSIL plans to automate other areas of their business.
For over 20 years, Living Innovations has provided support and residential care to people with disabilities to have a good life at home and in the community. As Living Innovations continues to grow, additional services such as in-home supports, case management, children’s services and others have been added to meet needs in particular geographic areas. The agency today provides services for around a thousand people with disabilities.
As a healthcare organization, state/regulatory requirements meant that Living Innovations was forced to deal with a lot of paper – copying, filing, auditing, correcting errors etc. Working with frevvo’s partner PiF Technologies, they implemented electronic forms and workflows that integrate seamlessly with DocStar, their document management system.
“The beauty of the system is that there are so many manual tasks that we can design and include, allowing us to minimize costs and increase efficiencies. frevvo has the best combination of simplicity and flexibility in the market.”
– Mari-Lynn Winn, Director of Continuous Improvement
Their first workflow, Applicant Tracking and On-boarding was implemented in weeks. Rather than print out a stack of paper, the electronic workflow uses e-signatures and generates required documents like a W-4, I-9, Code of Conduct etc. The documents feed directly into DocStar and index fields are created automatically.
The benefits are enormous since the automated processes are significantly faster and error-free. Living Innovations is finding that the time and cost to prepare and facilitate a new hire on boarding is virtually cut in half.

Finnair is one of the most innovative and longest-operating airlines in the world. The airline specializes in flights between Asia and Europe, and its vision is to be the number one airline in the Nordic countries and the most desired option in Asian traffic. At the end of 2013, Finnair employed 5,803 people.
Finnair has faced severe cost savings needs during the last several years as the industry structures have been changing. As a way of finding cost savings and means of increasing operational efficiency Finnair aimed to digitize its form processes and workflows. Consequently, minimizing the manual work in handling and correcting the paper forms, making the coordination of up-to-date form versions easier, ensuring correct workflows and archiving methods as well as increasing process lead times were essential objectives.
Overall the project was a success as we overcame the challenges faced during the project. The digital MSR report provides optimal information sharing and accelerates and strengthens our corrective actions. – Niko Pakarinen, Safety and Quality Advisor, Finnair
Working with our partner Ambientia, Finnair chose frevvo Live Forms because of its:
- suitability in terms of ease of use (and extending the use of the form application independently throughout the corporate organization)
- agility in terms of workflows
- enterprise readiness in terms of integrations with Finnair’s intranet platform as well as operational systems.
The first project in introducing Frevvo within Finnair was developing maintenance and safety report for Finnair Operations. For this project, extensive integrations were made between Frevvo and Confluence (intranet platform) as well as a Grails based integration application and Q-Pulse (operational safety report system).
The challenges faced throughout this project were extensive as it involved integrating several applications across several platforms. The connection between Confluence and Frevvo was the easiest part of the integration and the business rules and functions available in Frevvo made the rest of the integration possible as Frevvo was configured to make API calls to the Grails platform, which in turn made API calls towards the Q-Pulse system. – Eric Salonen, Solutions Expert, Ambientia
In future, Finnair aims to develop new digital form processes (workflows) with frevvo Live Forms and to widen the use of the solution to other business areas.
