When a customer required a credit line, the Credit Approval process was completely manual – the customer would submit a paper form, medi had to correct errors and key in data into their ERP system. Similarly, the Contract process was also very manual and inefficient.

Ultimately, it generates a binding contractual agreement as a PDF with the needed signatures.

Granite State Independent Living (GSIL) is a 1000-employee nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote quality of life with independence for people with disabilities and seniors through advocacy, information, education, support and transition services.

As a healthcare organization, GSIL is subject to numerous regulatory requirements. Their New Hire packet had grown to 40+ forms that would take hours to complete. The same information had to be filled in multiple times, time was wasted correcting errors, making copies for filing and finding/auditing the information was tedious.

[Case Study] Living Innovations cuts the time & cost to on-board a new hire by 50%

For over 20 years, Living Innovations has provided support and residential care to people with disabilities to have a good life at home and in the community. As Living Innovations continues to grow, additional services such as in-home supports, case management, children’s services and others have been added to meet needs in particular geographic areas. The agency today provides services for around a thousand people with disabilities.

Finnair digitizes forms & approval workflows to save costs and increase operational efficiency

Finnair is one of the most innovative  and longest-operating airlines in the world. The airline specializes in flights between Asia and Europe, and its vision is to be the number one airline in the Nordic countries and the most desired option in Asian traffic. At the end of 2013, Finnair employed 5,803 people.

Finnair has faced severe cost savings needs during the last several years as the industry structures have been changing. As a way of finding cost savings and means of increasing operational efficiency Finnair aimed to digitize its form processes and workflows. Consequently, minimizing the manual work in handling and correcting the paper forms, making the coordination of up-to-date form versions easier, ensuring correct workflows and archiving methods as well as increasing process lead times were essential objectives.

Working with our partner Ambientia, Finnair chose frevvo Live Forms because of its:

  • suitability in terms of ease of use (and extending the use of the form application independently throughout the corporate organization)
  • agility in terms of workflows
  • enterprise readiness in terms of integrations with Finnair’s intranet platform as well as operational systems.

The first project in introducing Frevvo within Finnair was developing maintenance and safety report for Finnair Operations. For this project, extensive integrations were made between Frevvo and Confluence (intranet platform) as well as a Grails based integration application and Q-Pulse (operational safety report system).

The challenges faced throughout this project were extensive as it involved integrating several applications across several platforms. The connection between Confluence and Frevvo was the easiest part of the integration and the business rules and functions available in Frevvo made the rest of the integration possible as Frevvo was configured to make API calls to the Grails platform, which in turn made API calls towards the Q-Pulse system. – Eric Salonen, Solutions Expert, Ambientia
