With leading menswear retailers such as Men’s Wearhouse and Jos. A. Bank, Tailored Brands provides a one-of-a-kind shopping experience with compelling products and world-class service via their 1400+ locations in the U.S. and Canada.
They were using a different product which generated very large files, required local emails, was hard to use for dynamic forms and was expensive to maintain. Their Manager of Intranet, Jim Rinke, decided to investigate alternative products for their digital transformation journey.
After a lengthy search, Tailored Brands selected frevvo in 2011 for its drag-and-drop design, robust dynamic forms, 100% browser-based interface and the ability to route the form to different recipients based on user data.
“We were looking to replace the product we were using with a system that would work in our 1400+ stores.
Our forms are highly dynamic and can have complex business requirements. Using frevvo’s visual designers, we’ve now implemented 100+ forms & workflows. frevvo Cloud just works and meets our needs at reasonable cost.”
– Jim Rinke, Manager, Intranet & Documentation
Using frevvo’s low-code, visual solution, Tailored Brands’ team of just 2 people has now implemented 104 forms and workflows for a wide variety of use cases such as Inventory Request, Store Appearance Checks by multi-unit managers, Theft/Robbery/Damage forms, Employee or Customer Injuries and others.
The benefits are enormous:
- Previous forms were seamlessly replaced with online versions.
- Small file sizes mean they work fast and efficiently in the store locations.
- Dynamic behavior is easy and the forms automatically show/hide sections based on user data, perform calculations etc.
- Built-in mobile allows employees to use an iPad to complete forms.
Tailored Brands intends to continue rolling out additional forms and workflows, especially workflows that can route directly to an email address (anonymous user).

Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville (OESJ) Central School District is a a small, rural K-12 district in upstate NY. Everything was done using paper and sneakers. Their Director of Technology, Bill Cooper, decided to tackle the problem of reducing paper use.
After investigating a few solutions, OESJ selected frevvo Cloud for its drag-and-drop design, robust dynamic forms, integration with Google Apps and other systems and the ability to route the form to different recipients based on user data.
Fantastic, everything we needed in one platform.
“We are a small K-12 public school of fewer than 800 students and we are treated like a Fortune 500 company. If you’re serious about eliminating your paper documents, no matter the size of your company or organization, then frevvo is the answer.”
Director of Technology
OESJ started with their Purchase Request workflow and digitized it to eliminate the paperwork, back-and-forth for chasing down signatures and corrections and error-handling. They’ve now automated Vacation Request and HR On-boarding workflows as well. The On-boarding workflow dramatically reduced duplicate data entry and automatically generates Government PDF forms like W-4 and I-9.
The benefits are enormous:
- Inefficient paper forms with duplicate data entry have been eliminated and seamlessly replaced with online ones.
- Integration with Google makes it easy to sign in; documents are also automatically uploaded to Google Drive.
- Teachers spend less time chasing signatures and have more time to spend on students.
OESJ intends to continue digitizing additional forms & workflows such as Parent Permission forms and to integrate them with their School Information and Accounting systems.
medi is a leading and cutting-edge manufacturer of medical aids, sports textiles and fashion products that combine precision effectiveness with maximum comfort.
They have a number of Sales Reps in the field. When a customer required a credit line, the Credit Approval process was completely manual – the customer would submit a paper form, medi had to correct errors and key in data into their ERP system. Similarly, the Contract process was also very manual and inefficient.
“frevvo’s Cloud-based solution is visual and easy to use yet has powerful business features and integration with our ERP.
frevvo has a great combination of simplicity and flexibility.”
–Tim Horkey Chief Financial Officer Service Owner
medi came to know about frevvo through a referral and decided to try workflow automation. Using frevvo’s low-code, visual workflow automation solution, they were able to automate their Credit Approval process in a matter of weeks. It’s already been updated with user feedback and integrated with medi’s Infor VISUAL ERP system.
Building on the success of the Credit Approval process, medi has also automated their Contracts process. Instead of emails & faxes, printing & signing, the workflow is now electronic and collects e-signatures along the way. Ultimately, it generates a binding contractual agreement as a PDF with the needed signatures.
The benefits are enormous. Both workflows are faster, error-free and far more efficient. Integration with INFOR ERP has eliminated duplicate data entry.
Granite State Independent Living (GSIL) is a 1000-employee nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote quality of life with independence for people with disabilities and seniors through advocacy, information, education, support and transition services.
As a healthcare organization, GSIL is subject to numerous regulatory requirements. Their New Hire packet had grown to 40+ forms that would take hours to complete. The same information had to be filled in multiple times, time was wasted correcting errors, making copies for filing and finding/auditing the information was tedious.
“PiF Technologies introduced us to frevvo and helped us automate the New Hire packet. The rest is history. The efficiency is just incredible.
frevvo’s modern online system is easy to use and meets our business requirements at a reasonable cost.”
–– Linda Tsantoulis, Vice President of HR
GSIL worked with frevvo’s partner PiF Technologies to digitize the New Hire workflow to use e-forms. Using frevvo’s low-code, visual solution, PiF was able to automate the the process in record time. The documents feed directly into DocStar, their document management system, and index fields are created automatically.
The benefits are enormous since the automated processes are significantly faster and error-free. Filling out the packet used to literally take hours. Now it can be completed in 20-30 minutes. Working with PiF and frevvo, GSIL plans to automate other areas of their business.
For over 20 years, Living Innovations has provided support and residential care to people with disabilities to have a good life at home and in the community. As Living Innovations continues to grow, additional services such as in-home supports, case management, children’s services and others have been added to meet needs in particular geographic areas. The agency today provides services for around a thousand people with disabilities.
As a healthcare organization, state/regulatory requirements meant that Living Innovations was forced to deal with a lot of paper – copying, filing, auditing, correcting errors etc. Working with frevvo’s partner PiF Technologies, they implemented electronic forms and workflows that integrate seamlessly with DocStar, their document management system.
“The beauty of the system is that there are so many manual tasks that we can design and include, allowing us to minimize costs and increase efficiencies. frevvo has the best combination of simplicity and flexibility in the market.”
– Mari-Lynn Winn, Director of Continuous Improvement
Their first workflow, Applicant Tracking and On-boarding was implemented in weeks. Rather than print out a stack of paper, the electronic workflow uses e-signatures and generates required documents like a W-4, I-9, Code of Conduct etc. The documents feed directly into DocStar and index fields are created automatically.
The benefits are enormous since the automated processes are significantly faster and error-free. Living Innovations is finding that the time and cost to prepare and facilitate a new hire on boarding is virtually cut in half.
Bushcare Services provides design and field program solutions for forested areas in South East Queensland, Australia. They work with local stakeholders to develop healthy and sustainable natural areas by managing projects including native tree planting, bushland regeneration, erosion control, fire management and manages parks infra-structure.
Bushcare work projects are a collaboration of many remote supervisors, production
managers and office staff. It’s easy to see how it quickly became very difficult to manage all the moving parts of the daily work order using the existing paper forms.
“One of the great things about frevvo is that very often we will have an idea for a change in the workflow and after discussing it with their Client Services team, we are able to quickly implement it. Thanks to frevvo, we have changed the way we are running our business.”
– Phil Hoskings, Director
They now uses a frevvo paperless portal which includes a 3 step workflow – Maintenance Daily Record – developed over multiple sessions with frevvo’s Customer Success team. The frevvo workflow integrates with Google Sheets, dynamically pulls down client and other information and speeds up the process dramatically. As a result, staff have more time to spend on what’s important – developing sustainable and healthy natural areas.

The company uses frevvo with Confluence on daily basis for a multitude of tasks from employee on-boarding to budget management to online ordering. frevvo’s Database Connector allows them to surface frevvo forms and workflows in Confluence that read/write data from their SQL database and easily create dynamic content.
frevvo integrates with our Confluence system as well as other systems without complex APIs. And the best part of all is that frevvo is very cost-effective and feature-rich compared to products that are many times the price.
The reduction of development time to build these business-critical applications has allowed them to focus on other priorities. Business users also appreciate the fact that information is easily available and they have more time to spend with customers.
Central Wyoming College saw significant value in streamlining their PO process which involves calculations, lookups and dynamic routing fixing a particularly error-prone procedure as a result. Instead of a paper-based process that required manual follow-up, delays and hours of wasted time, they now have a digital process that works on all devices, is easy-to-use and saves hours of staff time allowing them to focus on students rather than paperwork.
Watch this video recording and hear from their CIO John Wood as he demos their solution and how the college is benefiting from an automated workflow. A recording of the full webinar including Q&A is also available.
