In the Netherlands, you can now download your heat from the cloud. Not literally but Dutch Cloud provider Nerdalize will install its servers in your house and use the excess heat to warm rooms. No data center overhead means lower costs; 55% lower according to the company. It’s greener too since you’re using the same energy twice – for computing and heating. Seems obvious – computers are radiators and it’s great that someone is finally tapping into it.
